What advice do you have for next year’s freshmen?
Do your best and work hard because every little thing makes a difference. Get involved. It makes high school more fun and makes you well-rounded.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
I have had so many amazing teachers that it’s really hard to pick just one. Dr. Carter, my English teacher, was one of my favorites. She helped me grow as a writer the summer after my freshman year through the George Caleb Bingham Academy of the Arts. I then had her as my English teacher sophomore and junior year. She made class fun through interesting discussions but taught us a lot about understanding language and literature.
When you were not in school or studying, what did you most enjoy doing?
Playing with my dog and other animals, hanging out with friends and family, reading, watching TV, going to the gym and participating in many extracurricular activities.
What college do you plan to attend and why?
I plan to attend Colorado State University because it has a great vet school and will give me many amazing opportunities. I fell in love with the campus. CSU just feels like home.
What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
In 10 years, I see myself being a pretty new vet, working at some animal clinic. I will own lots of animals and might even be starting a family.
