A tough week ended with a victory for the Truman girls basketball team.
The Patriots outscored visiting Park Hill 16-4 in the third quarter for a 35-17 lead and went on to a 47-33 Suburban Big Six victory Friday night.
Kassidy Ritchel’s 11 points, Becca Strobbe’s nine and Chelsey Quirarte’s eight led Truman, which had lost three in a row, including two this week.
Truman (11-8 overall, 4-1 conference) led 19-13 at halftime before blowing open the game in the third quarter.
Katy Plummer’s 13 points guided Park Hill (7-9, 2-3).
