To the editor:
Our daughter, Alyson, is in the USMC, currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif. While she is serving, my wife and I are watching her Siberian husky, Shehara.
At first Shehara was lost; however now we believe she is being held by someone. The latest lead we had is she was seen at a McDonald’s in a car and the people commented to an employee we “haven’t even named her because we just got her yesterday.” However the people had not seen the flyer until after that time so they did not know she was missing.
We have done all we know to do with hanging flyers and hand delivering them. Shehara is in the lost and found; also on petconnect and k9amberalert even as far as craigslist. Again we believe someone has her and wants to keep her.
We have had her since she was 6 weeks old. She is now 8 months, so she is our baby as well as Alyson’s. We have not told Alyson and pray we won’t have to. There is a reward for Shehara. We thought maybe if it was in the paper that maybe whoever has her would collect the reward and return Shehara, no questions asked.
