James Everett’s comments last Friday about anti-Islam remind me that Mr. Everett has played his tune about last year’s mayoral breakfast again, and again, and again. He promised his readers at least two times that he would end that campaign. Enough is enough!
He insists that the USA is anti-Islam more so than anti-Jewish, Mormon, Christian, etc. He convinces me that he has lost sight of the fact that the First Amendment not only protects the establishment and practice of religion but also freedom of speech. His own comments about “irrational faith arguments” are protected by the First Amendment. He forgets that the “irrational faith arguments”  for those other Americans who express them are also protected and should be equally respected.
