Nancey Ridenour, 87, of Independence, Missouri, passed away August 28, 2011, in Lee’s Summit, MO.  

Nancey was born on August 10, 1924, to Claude and Gertrude (Gross) Bryan in Otterville, MO.  She was united in marriage to Joseph C. Ridenour. Nancey worked as a secretary in the clothing industry.  She was a member of St. Matthews Methodist Church in Independence, MO.  She volunteered at the Salvation Army and the VA.  She enjoyed babysitting for grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Joseph.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia and husband, Michael, Infranco of Blue Springs, MO, and Connie Alcanter of Independence, MO; sisters, Marge Lucas of Oklahoma City, OK, Etta Burlson of Rosebud, AR, and Betty Scott of Kansas City, Missouri.

Visitation for Nancey will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO 64015, (816)229-3276.  Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the chapel.  Burial with graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. at IOOF Cemetery in Otterville MO.
