For athletes who can’t wait until warmer weather, the Blue Springs Family YMCA’s first Indoor Sprint Triathlon offers a chance to swim, bike and run, without having to worry about the rain and chilly days of spring.

The event is 1-6 p.m. April 11 at Blue Springs Family YMCA (1300 Adams Dairy Parkway). It consists of a 750- meter swim, a 20-kilometer bicycle ride and a 5K run, all completed indoors.

Participants will be assigned a race start time. Race start times are every half hour. The cost is $50 for YMCA members or $75 for non-members.

For more information or to register, contact Zach Norman or Michelle Ruffin at 816-224-9620.
