Nick Lee entered heaven late Thursday night after a vehicular accident on his way home for a weekend visit from Lincoln, NE.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2011, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a memorial service at First Presbyterian Church of Lee’s Summit, MO.

Loved by everyone in the universe, Nick always gave a smile and received a smile.  He certainly lived life to the fullest everyday.  He was a graduate of Blue Springs South High School and Nebraska Wesleyan (NWU), during which times Nick used his unending energy to entertain and promote school pride and spirit.  His work, both paid and volunteer, was at child day care centers, animal shelters, community fundraisers, and most recently at NWU Alumni office helping to plan homecoming and other events.  Well versed in Spanish, Nick became quite the International Student Ambassador making friends throughout the world especially in Nicaragua where he spent a semester.  Nick was a prankster (with the help of his buddies), and was the first to always lend a hand (without being asked).  He was a lover, a hunter, an athlete, and truly a gift from God!

Nick leaves behind his parents, Marti and Ron Lee; sister Kristi Lee McHugh and husband Nate; sister Angela (Lee) Kuestermeyer and family; grandparents Mildred Lee and Paul and Nancy Keiser along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Burnis Lee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nebraska Wesleyan University, Attn: Jackie Rezac, 5000 St. Paul Ave., Lincoln, NE  68504, for the Nick Lee Memorial Fund designated to the International Relations Program or the Animal Rescue Alliance, PO Box 520798, Independence, MO 64052.
