Santa’s mailbox will be accepting Independence children’s letters until noon Dec. 24. The bright red mailbox is located in front of the historic Jackson County Courthouse and Mayor’s Christmas Tree along West Maple Avenue on the Independence Square.

Santa’s mailbox will be accepting Independence children’s letters until noon Dec. 24. The bright red mailbox is located in front of the historic Jackson County Courthouse and Mayor’s Christmas Tree along West Maple Avenue on the Independence Square.

Letters should be addressed to “Santa Claus: North Pole,” and no return addresses on the outside of the envelope are necessary. Children of all ages will be able to send their letters of Christmas wishes directly to the North Pole through this mailbox. Santa’s Mailbox is a partnership between the Independence and Jackson County parks and recreation departments.
