The Blue Springs South girls golf team defeated Blue Springs 204-214 Thursday at the par 36 Country Club of Blue Springs.

South’s Jordan Rehkow was the medalist shooting a 47. Her teammate Madison Frerking came in second with a 49. Blue Springs’ Paige Braden shot a 50 and Kristin Shaw shot a 53. South’s Amanda Sinclair and Gretchen Kucera and Wildcats’ Danielle Messick all shot 54. Blue Springs Ally Guffey shot a 57 and teammate Alex Salmons shot a 59. South’s Carrie Landes shot a 62.

FORT OSAGE 171, RAYTOWN SOUTH 185: With just three golfers’ scores taken, Fort Osage came out on top of Raytown South 171-185 at the par 6 Winterstone on Thursday.

McKayla Henry was the medalist shooting a 50. Savannah Ellis was second shooting a 56. Raytown South was led by Kammrie Ridley and Jackie Barrett who both shot 60. South’s Breanna Cozart and Fort’s Peyton Ward both turned in scores of 65.

“I am happy to see the improvements that the girls have made since the start of the season,” Indians coach Joy Leslie said. “(Thursday) I was very proud of McKayla Henry and Savannah Ellis for, once again, earning the medalist and runner-up positions.”
