Carly Sojka registered 14 kills as the Jaguars defeated visiting Raytown South 25-9, 25-5 Tuesday night.

OAK PARK 25-25, FORT OSAGE 21-17: Host Oak Park was too strong for Fort Osage.

“We gave them too many points,” Fort Osage coach Sean Barrett said. “You can’t do that against a good team.

“Asia Cole had a great match with seven kills and Ashley Schweer had seven digs.”

Ali Patterson had nine kills,13 digs, three solo blocks and three assisted blocks to lead the Tigers. Elissa Knipp had eight kills, Kate Ward 21 assists, Bri Moananu eight digs and Shelby Wagner three blocks and two assisted blocks.

“The first game they took it to us and we had lots of errors, but the next two games I was proud of how our kids battled back and kept their composure,” Lee’s Summit coach Roy Martin said.

HIGGINSVILLE 18-25-25, OAK GROVE 25-17-16: Visiting Higginsville stopped Oak Grove in the season opener.
