MCC-Blue River/Futura FC Soccer Camp is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 22 at SportsCity in Blue Springs, for ages 4-18. Three sessions available: First Touch/Receiving/Foot Skills/Dribbling camp will focus on the necessary foundation of mastering the ball. Appropriate for all ages and skills, which will be grouped accordingly. Shooting/Finishing camp will focus on the elements of striking the ball properly, follow-through, finding the balance of accuracy and power and vision training. This session is best for players who have a reasonably strong soccer foundation. Goalkeeper Technical Training will be coached by Leonard Harmon, MCC-Blue River goalkeeper coach. Coach Harmon will work keepers through specific drills that will enhance technique, foundational necessity of footwork, keeper-specific fitness and reactionary instincts. Sessions will be 1 hour in length and will run 6:30-8:30 p.m. each Monday. Specific time will be assigned by staff, but time requests will be received. Space per session may be limited. Ideally each group will consist of 8-12 players of similar age and skills working with a coach on the selected session. Cost is $50 per person for the four-week session.
