The second of two public meetings to review proposed changes in the existing Truman Heritage Design Guidelines will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 in conference room D on the lower level of Independence City Hall, 111 E. Maple Ave.

The meeting will provide a brief overview of proposed revisions and will allow time for questions.

Visit www.indepmo.org/comdev/HistoricPreservation.aspx and click on “first design guidelines draft now available.” The guidelines are divided by chapter and include the following: history, frequently asked questions, application process, local historic landmarks and districts, architectural styles, rehabilitation guidelines, new construction, energy efficiency, sustainability, glossary, Mid-Town/Truman Road Corridor and sustainability matrix.
