Jennifer Andrews and Setoa Talimatasi have been selected as Students of the Month by the Rotary Club of Independence.

Jennifer Andrews and Setoa Talimatasi have been selected as Students of the Month by the Rotary Club of Independence.

Andrews is a senior at St. Mary’s High School and has earned varsity letters in cross country, track, softball and cheerleading and is a member of the National Art Honors Society. She is a member of the Student Council, Art Club and Theatre Club and participates in cross country and track and field.

Andrews plans to major in pre-medicine. Her parents are Keith and Shierly Andrews.

Talimatasi is a senior at Fort Osage High School and has been named to the “A” honor roll throughout high school; earned a three-year perfect attendance award; is president of the Polynesian Club; is vice president of the National Honor Society; is class president of seminary; is a two-year honorable mention all-conference and one-year all-district in volleyball and is a one-year all-conference and one-year all-district in track.

She is a member of the volleyball, basketball and track teams; is a member of the Chamber Choir, FCCLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Upward Bound; is a member of a LDS Youth Group and is a Samoan Community Youth.

Talimatasi plans to go to college and try to compete at the collegiate level. Her parents are Tuuaga and Palemia Talimatasi.
