Sarah Franklin has made the transition to the next level seamless, or so it seems.

The 2010 graduate of Truman High School was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference player of the week for the week of Sept. 20 after scoring four goals and added an assist to lead the 18th-ranked William Jewell College Cardinals past Friends University 6-0.

Franklin scored a natural hat-trick for the first three goals of the match in the first 20 minutes of the game. She went on to add a goal and an assist in the match to give her nine points in one game.

The first year freshman, who left Truman as the program’s career leading goal scorer, has helped Jewell start 5-0-0 and climb up the national poll.

Franklin is William Jewell’s points leader with 10 goals and three assists , good for 23 points.
