To the editor:

I read an article in The Examiner a few weeks ago about kids TV channels and “family friendly” TV channels that play inappropriate shows. According to the article, there are teenage reality shows that discuss sex and other adult topics on “family friendly” channels. The article also cited another show that has people making out.

These are channels that 5- and 6-year-olds watch, and I believe it is very inappropriate. I have had to change channels from shows I want to see due to immodesty or other things I should not be watching. Even some commercials on TV are bad. I believe this is a big problem facing our society. The reason I think it is a problem is that these shows fill kids’ minds with junk. It is wrong for little kids to see those things, because when they see it glorified, they want to do it too. That may be why kids are dressing immodestly and trying to act above their age. That is what they see for their entertainment.
