  • This weekend, the Metropolitan Chorale of Kansas City, which is the Metropolitan Community College district’s premiere singing group that is based at MCC-Blue River, will share the stage with the University of Missouri Kansas City’s Conservatory of Music and Central Seminary’s Institute of Sacred Arts to present music of living Kansas City composers, including Pulitzer Prize winner Zhou Long.
    Three ensembles will perform eight pieces, and all eight Kansas City composers will be in attendance to speak about their pieces prior to the performance of each piece.
    The event is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, 415 W. 13th St. in Kansas City.
    Tickets are $6 for adults and seniors and $4 for children.
