Here is a list of school lunches being served at area schools for the week beginning Dec. 1. Milk available with all lunches.

Independence elementary schools

Monday: Lasagna, breadstick, mixed green salad, carrot coins, spiced apples. Tuesday: Chicken taco salad, Spanish rice, southwest vegetables, grapes. Wednesday: Pepperoni pizza, green beans, strawberries/bananas, chocolate chip cookie. Thursday: Chili, crackers, veggie dippers, cinnamon roll, orange wedges. Friday: Hot dog/bun, macaroni/cheese, peas/carrots, peaches.


Independence middle schools
Available daily: Cold sandwich, salads, a la carte and Grill Line.

Monday: Beef ravioli/breadstick, meatball sub, chicken leg or pepperoni pizza. Featured sides: Mixed green salad, vegetable medley, pear half. Tuesday: Fiestada pizza, bean burrito, hamburger, cheeseburger or taco bites. Featured sides: Mexican rice, veggie dippers, sliced peaches. Wednesday: Chicken nuggets, turkey fritter, stuffed pepperoni pizza or ham/cheese pocket. Featured sides: Wheat roll, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, blue gelatin/pineapple. Thursday: Chicken tetrazzini, loaded baked potato, chicken nachos or chicken patty/bun. Featured sides: Mixed green salad, carrot coins, rosy applesauce. Friday: Cheese sticks/marinara sauce, grilled cheese sandwich or chicken quesadilla. Featured sides: Fiesta ranch vegetables, apple, chocolate chip cookie.

Wednesday: Breakfast bites or french toast, Cheddar/bacon potatoes, yogurt munchie mix. Thursday: Chicken nuggets or jammer sticks/sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans. Friday: Pepperoni pizza or grilled cheese sandwich, tossed salad, corn.


Fort Osage schools

Monday: Barbecue chicken chips, macaroni/cheese, steamed broccoli, apple wedges. Tuesday: Beef stew, biscuit/honey butter, celery/carrot sticks, Italian ice cup. Wednesday: Cheese wedge pizza, combination salad/dressing, peas, chocolate pudding. Thursday: Country fried steak nuggets, mashed potatoes/country gravy, roll, green beans, sliced pears. Friday: Chicken fajitas/flour tortillas, salsa, Spanish rice, corn, fruit yogurt.


Grain Valley elementary schools

Monday: Chicken/cheese quesadilla, cheesy Mexican rice, mixed vegetables, fruit cocktail. Tuesday: Chicken nuggets, baked Cheetos, green beans, peaches. Wednesday: Barbecue chicken sandwich, tossed salad, orange wedges, Scotty Bar. Thursday: Steak nuggets, scalloped potatoes, broccoli/cheese sauce, pineapple tidbits. Friday: French bread pizza, corn, applesauce, juice bar.


Grain Valley secondary schools

Monday: Chicken/cheese quesadilla or cheeseburger, special side – Cheesy Mexican rice. Also available: Chicken strips. Tuesday: Chicken nuggets or cheeseburger, special side – Baked Cheetos. Also available: Buffalo chicken bites. Wednesday: Barbecue chicken sandwich or cheeseburger, special side – Scotty Bar. Also available: French bread pizza. Thursday: Country fried steak or cheeseburger, special side – Scalloped potatoes. Also available: Quesadilla. Friday: Cheese pizza or cheeseburger, special side – Juice bar. Oak Grove K-5
Available daily: Assorted yogurt, peanut butter/jelly and fruit juice.

Monday: Corn dog nuggets or chicken salad sandwich, french fries, baked beans, fruit cup. Also available: Smoked turkey chef salad. Tuesday: Spaghetti/Italian bread or smoked turkey sub, Italian tossed salad, green beans, gelatin. Also available: Chef salad. Oak Grove 6-12

Lee’s Summit elementary schools

Monday: Beef ravioli or pancakes/ham, cheesy hash brown potatoes, rosy pears. Tuesday: Soft shell taco or turkey/cheese pita, corn, orange smiles, power gelatin. Wednesday: Spaghetti/meatsauce or chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, tossed salad, breadstick. Thursday: Barbecue chicken/bun or cheeseburger, potato wedges, baked beans, banana. Friday: Nachos/cheese or crispy chicken wrap, broccoli, chilled peaches, fruit cup.


Lee’s Summit middle schools
Available daily: Peanut butter/jelly, assorted fruit and juice, side salads, shape-up bars and carrot sticks.

Monday: Cheeseburger or pizzas, broccoli/cheese and rice, fruit crisp. Premier entree: Popcorn chicken. Tuesday: Chicken strips or macaroni/cheese, roll, peas, baked chips. Lee’s Summit high schools
Available daily: Peanut butter/jelly, cold meat sandwich, chef salad, baked potato and yogurt. Cheeseburgers available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Monday: Pizza or spicy chicken patty/bun, cheesy hash brown potatoes, peas/carrots. Tuesday: Chicken teriyaki/breadstick or southwest pizza, potato wedges, green beans. Wednesday: Chicken Parmesan/noodles and breadstick or corn dog, tri-taters, corn. Thursday: Chicken fried steak or chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes/gravy, stuffing, broccoli, wheat roll, fruit crisp. Friday: Pizza or grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, spicy fries, glazed carrots.


Raytown elementary schools
Daily: Garden salad, juice drink and seconds on fruits/vegetables (except potatoes).

Monday: Cheeseburger or hot pocket, baked beans, fruit cocktail, dolphin crackers. Tuesday: Chicken nuggets or spaghetti/meatsauce, biscuit, mixed vegetables, peaches. Wednesday: Beef tamale pie or barbecue chicken drummies, corn, apple slices, fruit snacks. Thursday: Chicken pomodore or quesadilla, Capri vegetables, melon mix, chocolate chip cookie. Friday: Manager’s choice of entree or pepperoni pizza, lettuce salad, peas/carrots, frozen fruit bar.


Raytown middle schools
Available daily: Chef salad, garden salad, pizza, deli sandwich, yogurt, juice drink and seconds on fruits/vegetables (except potatoes).
