The Lee’s Summit Masonic Lodge will sponsor a free child identification program during the annual Holly Festival Craft Fair next month.

The Lee’s Summit Masonic Lodge will sponsor a free child identification program during the annual Holly Festival Craft Fair.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 at Bernard Campbell Middle School, 1201 N.E. Colbern Road.

Volunteers from the Masonic Lodge will provide families with the free service through the Missouri Masonic CHIP (Child Identification Program). The program will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 at.

The Masonic Lodge volunteers will take a photograph of each child from several angles, take a DNA swab from the child's mouth, make a dental impression and take the child’s fingerprints. The entire kit will be given to children’s parents or guardians. Information in the kit is designed to be used by law-enforcement officials in the recovery of a missing child.
