Interested in finding out more about your family’s history? The Midwest Genealogy Center in Independence has several upcoming events.

They include:

• How to Use the Midwest Genealogy Center, from 10 a.m. to noon June 5 at the center, 3440 S. Lee’s Summit Road. It’s a tour of the center, and participants will learn about genealogy databases and about the library’s microfilm and microfiche collections.

• Beginning Genealogy, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 5 at the center. It’s on the fundamentals of beginning a genealogical research project. This is offered again from 10 a.m. to noon June 12.

• Native American Genealogy, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 7 at the center.
