The Wildcats finished with a total of 326 points, easily outdistancing second-place Hannibal (271) and third-place Notre Dame de Sion (267).

Lee’s Summit West finished seventh with 140 points, Lee’s Summit North placed ninth with 126 points, and 111 points was good enough for Blue Springs South to earn 10th at the 15-team meet. Truman scored 44 points to finish 14th.

Simcox won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 14.18 seconds, just ahead of Lee’s Summit West’s Jean Madison, who posted a time of 2:15.38.

Simcox placed second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.69.

The Wildcats’ Liz Oles won the 500 freestyle, swimming the event in 5:34.28. Lee's Summit North's Hanna Kleiboeker finished second in the event with a time of 5:39.69, and Blue Springs’ Bryonna Lewis was third with a time of 5:46.71.

Blue Springs’ 400 freestyle relay team claimed second with a time of 3:48.58 and the Wildcats’ Megan Wright earned a fourth-place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.88.

Blue Springs South got respectable races from Morgan Connors in both the 100 and 200 freestyles. She finished third in the 200 free with a time of 2:02.24 and fifth in the 100 free (56.59).

Truman’s Kara Schoneboom finished seventh in both the 200 free (2:04.79) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.1).
