Linda Kay Brown, 60, Independence, Mo., made her journey to heaven peacefully to join her mother Catherine, sister Shirley and Husband Ed Brown on Thursday, January 21, 2010.

Linda worked in health care for 22 years. Everyone Linda cared for became a part of her family. Linda loved and cared about everyone she met. Linda found the good in everyone she met.

Linda leaves behind her loving father, Francis L. Walker, her sister Mary K. Dillon, brother Steven W. Walker, nephews Michael A. Walker, Bryan W. Walker, Nieces Tammy R. Newton, April A. Newton and Catherine N. Dillon, great niece Amber Wilkinson. Rest in peace, Sissy, 11/11/49-01/21/2010.

One day it happened, in the blink of an eye, so sadly her life ended, with only a short time to say goodbye.

She was such a happy girl, with a beautiful smile, without a care in the world, she made it worthwhile.

She made everyone think, and played with their mind, she gave a quick wink, as their faces shined.

The sisterhood has gone, with smiles and good times, no partner to sing our song, no best friend to sing our rhymes.

For her day had come, to fly off to heaven, and visit our mom, in a happy haven.

She left us all, with a goodbye kiss, she was the kind of girl, the one we will miss.

Goodbye best friend..goodbye our sis.

Love, Mary and Steve.
