  • The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office accused a Lee’s Summit son of beating his father to death.
Christopher L. Feitz, 27, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of his father, Ronnie L. Feitz. He was also charged with armed criminal action.
The alleged murder happened at Ronnie Feitz’s house in Lee’s Summit on Jan. 18.
Court records give the following information:
Ronnie Feitz was found at his home on the 500 block of Northwest Ivy Place. He was found in his living room with blood on his face, upper body, and hands.
The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma. There were at least five strikes to the victim’s head that caused skull fractures and brain injuries. The victim also had broken ribs and defensive injuries to his hands.
Detectives learned Chris and Ronnie did not have a good relationship and witnesses reported Chris hated Ronnie, and one witness reportedly saw father and son “nose to nose with their arms flailing,” according to court documents.
