A Kansas City man was injured early Wednesday when his vehicle, going the wrong way on Interstate 70, collided with a semi-truck at Adams Dairy Parkway, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Mejia E. Florentino, 30, was driving the wrong way down I-70 when he clipped the passenger side of the truck, according to the patrol. Florentino, driving a 1990 Honda, was  going east on the interstate in the westbound lanes.

He smashed into the side of a 2010 Freightliner driven by Christopher Hannah, 46, of London, Ontario. Hannah was not injured.

Florentino was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center. He was treated for moderate injuries, the patrol report stated.
