  • Elijah Lee will be taking his talents to Manhattan.
The Blue Springs junior defensive end and linebacker announced Tuesday that he has committed to Kansas State. He’ll be joining teammate and childhood friend Dalvin Warmack, the Wildcats’ standout junior running back who committed a month ago.
Lee emerged as one of the state’s top prospects last season after transferring to Blue Springs from St. Joseph Central. He racked up 18.5 sacks and 33.5 of his 71 tackles came behind the line of scrimmage. After helping lead the Wildcats to the Class 6 state championship, he won the Buck Buchannan Award – given to the best lineman or linebacker in the Kansas City metro.
For a complete story on Lee’s committment, check back later or see Wednesday’s Examiner.
