Erma Lee Wagenknecht, 102, of Holiday, FL, died Monday January 26, 2009 in Florida.

She was an amazing Mother and Grandmother. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, June 3, 1906. She went to school in California and to High School in New Jersey. She was a telephone operator in St. Joseph, MO until she met and married Arthur Wagenknecht in 1929. She worked as a volunteer for the Red Cross, a Brownie Leader and later became a Girl Scout leader (nick-named “Twigs”). She was active in her Sugar Creek United Methodist Church .After living in her home in Independence, Missouri for, 74 years, she moved to Holiday, FL in 2004, to be near her family. She loved the Lord and was a very positive prayer warrior who was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughter Arlene Opperman and grandchildren Diana and Mark, and great grandson Adam Chaz.
