  • Graceland University Oratorio Chorus in Lamoni, Iowa, will have its first rehearsal Monday at 7:30 p.m.
    The chorus is looking for people who love to sing choral-instrumental masterworks and who have previous choral experience.  Rehearsals are scheduled Mondays from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at the Shaw Center, Room 190. 
    Graceland University Oratorio Chorus is a community/student ensemble, led by Dr.  Leonardo C. Lebas. GU Oratorio Chorus is devoted to rehearse and perform choral-instrumental masterworks. The Chorus is open to regional singers, GU students, faculty and staff.  
     In the spring, Graceland University Oratorio Chorus will perform (along with GU Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and Orchestra) Handel’s “Messiah.”
    Under Professor Jack Ergo’s direction, the performance will take place on Friday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Shaw Family Auditorium.
