McKayla Henry claimed medalist honors with a 44 at par 30 Teetering Rocks to lead Fort Osage to a 196-204 victory over Raytown South Monday.

“I am thrilled with our win tonight,” Fort Osage coach Joy Leslie said. “It was a very close match but we knew it would probably be that way. I am extremely proud of McKayla Henry for winning the medalist award and Savannah Ellis for tying for runner-up.

“The girls have been working hard at practice and their efforts are paying off.”

Ellis and Raytown South’s Kammrie Riley and Senea Johnson each shot 45.

“Kelsey has been playing exceptionally well since play started and today was no different,” North coach Amy Merritt said. “Her 39 today is her career low round in a nine-hole match and she also scored her first eagle during the round on the par 5 No. 3 hole.”
