  • Moonlight Movies on the Square are back with a lineup of free, family-friendly movies.
The program is operated by a group of Graceland University interns with McClain Enterprises, who are responsible for running the program.
Moonlight Movies are Thursday nights at the corner of Maple and Liberty. They are projected on the side of the Pharaoh Theatre. Preparation begins at 7 p.m. and community members start showing up soon after to grab their favorite seats. The movies begin at 9 p.m. Although chairs are provided for $1, guests can bring their own. If bad weather cancels a Thursday night showing, the movie will be shown the following Sunday. Snacks and drinks are also available to purchase, including hot dogs from Up Dog and pizza from Square Pizza.
Below is a schedule for this summer’s movies:
    • June 6: “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted”
    • June 13: “Brave”
    • June 27: “Despicable Me”
    • July 11: “Wreck-It Ralph”
