What advice do you have for next year’s freshmen?
Get involved in what interests you and meet as many people as you can. The more people you get to know, the bigger the network of people you can rely on.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Rachel Russell, my IB English teacher because she was very supportive and pushed us to our individual limits. She helped guide me through the process until I could handle it myself.
When you were not in school or studying, what did you most enjoy doing?
I absolutely love reading books and drawing, but my less academic hobby is going to the sand courts and playing volleyball with my friends.
What college do you plan to attend and why?
The University of Missouri-Kansas City because I love being close to home, and I really liked their English department.
What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I hope to have my first book published and be an elementary school librarian.
