Here is a list of school lunches being served at area schools for the week beginning March 2. Milk available with all lunches.
Independence elementary schools
Monday: Fish sandwich, chicken nuggets, hot dog/bun, cheeseburger, hamburger, macaroni/cheese, carrot sticks/ranch, spiced apples.
Tuesday: Chicken taco salad, beef nachos, grilled cheese sandwich, ham/cheese pocket, Spanish rice, southwest vegetable sauté, grapes.
Wednesday: Spicy chicken strips, country fried steak, hamburger, cheeseburger, chicken patty/bun, mashed potatoes/gravy, broccoli Normandy, orange wedges.
Thursday: Beef lasagna, barbecue rib/bun, cheese sticks/marinara sauce, pepperoni pizza, tossed salad, corn, cherry gelatin, mixed fruit.
Friday: Pepperoni/cheese calzone, cheese pizza, hamburger, cheeseburger, deli sandwich, veggie dippers/ranch, strawberries/bananas, brownie.
Independence secondary schools
Available daily: Cold sandwich, salads, a la carte and Grill Line.
Monday: Lasagna or pizza sticks, tossed salad, green beans, red velvet cake.
Tuesday: Hamburger or cheeseburger, baked beans.
Wednesday: French toast sticks/little smokies or cheese bites, mandarin oranges, munchie mix.
Thursday: Chicken nuggets or steak fingers, mashed potatoes, green beans.
Friday: Pepperoni pizza or grilled cheese sandwich, tossed salad, corn, fruit cocktail.
Blue Springs schools
Available daily K-5: Peanut butter/jelly sandwich, offerings bar, and fruit and vegetable bar.
Available daily 6-12: Fruit and vegetable bar, offerings bar, deli bar, grilled sandwich zone and sub zone.
Monday: Beef ravioli, tossed salad/dressing, Texas toast, peas, peach cup.
Tuesday: Cheeseburger/bun, lettuce/tomato, onion/pickle, tater tots, vegetables/dip, fruit yogurt.
Wednesday: Pepperoni pizza, combination salad/dressing, corn banana.
Thursday: Country fried beef steak, mashed potatoes/country gravy, roll, green beans, mixed fruit salad.
Friday: Shrimp poppers/cocktail sauce, tater tots, corn, chocolate chip cookie.
Fort Osage schools
Monday: Spaghetti/meatballs, breadstick, broccoli cuts, sliced peaches.
Tuesday: Breakfast sausage pizza, sausage links, hash brown potatoes, apple wedges.
Wednesday: Barbecue rib sandwich, tossed salad, pineapple tidbits, juice bar.
Thursday: Hot dog, potato tots, green beans.
Friday: Cheese pizza, corn, sliced pears, ice cream sandwich.
Grain Valley schools
Monday: Beef ravioli or pancakes/sausage, cheesy hash brown potatoes, rosy pears.
Tuesday: Southwest wrap or pretzel/cheese, potato rounds, grapes, apple.
Wednesday: Chicken fried steak or chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, broccoli, roll, apricots.
Thursday: Cheeseburger/bun or barbecue pork/bun, baked beans, baked chips, mandarin oranges.
Friday: Chili dog or shrimp poppers, tri-taters, green beans, sliced peaches.
Oak Grove schools
No menus available.
Lee’s Summit elementary schools
Available daily: Baked potato entree, yogurt entree and peanut butter/jelly.
Monday: Cheeseburger/bun or french toast/sausage, broccoli/rice casserole, glazed carrots, fruit crisp. Premier entree: Popcorn chicken.
Tuesday: Chicken strips or spaghetti/meatsauce, french bread, tater tots, peas. Premier entree: Specialty pizza.
Wednesday: Corn dog nuggets or grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, corn, baked chips. Premier meal: Spicy chicken patty/bun.
Thursday: Chicken nuggets or country fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, strawberries, roll. Premier entree: Specialty pizza.
Friday: Cheese pizza or chicken patty/bun, tri-taters, broccoli. Premiere entree: Shrimp poppers.
Lee’s Summit middle schools
Available daily: Peanut butter/jelly, assorted fruit and juice, side salads, shape-up bars and carrot sticks.
Monday: Pizza or chicken patty/bun, cheesy hash brown potatoes, mixed vegetables, assorted fruit.
Tuesday: Chili/crackers or corn dog nuggets, french fries, sweet potato casserole, green beans.
Wednesday: Soft chicken taco or burrito, Spanish rice, refried beans, corn.
Thursday: Chicken fried steak or chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes/gravy, broccoli, roll, fruit crisp.
Friday: Pizza, barbecue chicken/bun or fish/bun, tater tots, glazed carrots.
Lee’s Summit high schools
Available daily: Peanut butter/jelly, cold meat sandwich, chef salad, baked potato and yogurt. Cheeseburgers available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Monday: Burrito or beef soft taco, refried beans, mixed vegetables, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: Mini turkey corn dogs or barbecue pork sandwich, vegetables/dip, cinnamon apples.
Wednesday: Chicken/noodles dinner or egg roll/fried rice, steamed broccoli, rosy applesauce, sherbet.
Thursday: Steak nuggets or chicken drumstick, roll, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, pineapple.
Friday: Pancake wrap or cheese omelet, muffin, potato smiles, strawberries/bananas.
Raytown elementary schools
