  • University of Missouri All-American and Blue Springs graduate Dom Bradley knocked off 2012 Olympian Tervel Dlagnev to capture the U.S. Open championship at 120 kilograms Friday.
Bradley rallied after dropping the first period to top Dlagnev 0-4, 3-0, 1-0 in the freestyle tournament in Las Vegas.
The Tiger heavyweight made his move in the second frame when he pushed Dlagnev out of the ring twice, which is worth one point in freestyle wrestling.
Bradley reached the finals of the 16-man field by notching wins over Sam Cervantes (Navy), Nick Gwiazdowski (North Carolina State) and a comeback win over former Lehigh wrestler Zachery Rey.
