What advice do you have for next year’s freshmen?
Don’t be in such a rush to grow up. In a blink of an eye, it will all be over and you will be throwing your cap in the air at graduation. Soak up high school while you can because it is the time of your life where you will make many memories.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher was Nathan Dorsch, my AP Physics teacher. He genuinely cares for his students’ education and success. He dedicated many hours of his time to help his students improve, holding study sessions before and after school and even on weekends. His positive attitude and passion for teaching has influenced his students to excel not only in school, but in life.
When you were not in school or studying, what did you most enjoy doing?
Volleyball. I have loved volleyball ever since I started playing in third grade. I play on a highly competitive team, where we practice often and travel across the country to compete.
What college do you plan to attend and why?
I am attending the University of Missouri-Columbia to study business and play volleyball. I have dreamt of going to Mizzou my whole life, and it is such a blessing to have the opportunity to play volleyball at my dream school.
What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
Ten years from now, I see myself working in the business field, being self sufficient and living the American dream.
