LEE’S SUMMIT WEST 10, WILLIAM CHRISMAN 1: Lee’s Summit West was too much for William Chrisman in a season-opening and first-round game in its own tournament.

Mitchell Solano scored three goals and Brad Clements and Christian Horne had two each in pacing West’s easy 10-1 victory Monday. Jake Ising, Corben Gailey and Alex Brown each scored one goal.

“Even for a first game we made a lot of mistakes,” Chrisman coach John Straub said. “But I think we’ll be able to correct the mistakes for tomorrow’s game with O’Hara.”

Wes White scored the only goal for Chrisman after the Titans took a 6-0 halftime lead.

The Bears meet O’Hara at 5 p.m. today

The Chrisman junior varsity suffered a 4-1 loss to Raymore-Peculiar in the Lee’s Summit North tournament.
