William (Bill) Eldon Jameson, 79, passed away June 27, 2010, at KU Medical Center.


Visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2010, from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Winnwood Baptist Church, 4513 N. Jackson Ave, Kansas City, Mo 64117. A service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. at Rouse Cemetery in Darlington, Missouri.


William was born June 22, 1931, to Madison Finley and Margaret Ellen (Elliott) Jameson in Darlington, Missouri. He married IvaLee Bottorff on July 21, 1956. William worked for a railroad and then went on to work for Sears Roebuck and Co. He enlisted in the Army in 1950 and served in Greenland during the Korean Conflict. He later owned T&M Vending. In 1966, he purchased Bill’s Sugar Bowl in Sugar Creek, Missouri and retired from there in 1993.


William was preceded in death by a brother, David Jameson and a half brother, Walker Jameson.


Bill is survived by his wife, IvaLee; children, Randall (Lisa) Jameson, Janette Jameson, Patricia Jameson and Charlene (Richard) Petsch; grandchildren: Emily and Daniel Jameson, Eli, Seth, Joe, Grace, Lillian and Julia Petsch; brother, Joe Jameson and sister, Wilma Gene Dreher.
