There have been no arrests yet in a robbery Wednesday at the Community America Credit Union inside Hy-Vee Grocery Store on Noland Road, FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said Friday.
Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man came in with a note demanding that the teller hand over cash at the credit union at 4545 S. Noland Road.
The robber didn’t show or threaten the worker with a weapon, Patton said.
The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money, Patton said.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The man was described as black, standing between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-5 and weighing 165 pounds, with a stocky build. He was wearing rounded gold-rimmed sunglasses, a black or blue baseball hat, a navy blue jacket and gray T-shirt.
He was last seen going west toward Noland Road in a black four-door vehicle.
In November, an Independence man robbed the credit union at the Hy-Vee store at 1525 E. 23rd St. He allegedly stole $4,319.
