  • Makeup of Fort Osage board unchanged

  • Incumbents Sharon Dankenbring, director of marketing for The Examiner, and Carol Marcks, a retired Fort Osage educator, were elected to the Board of Education. Marcks received 733 votes, and Dankenbring received 616 votes.

  • Sharon Dankenbring is ready to move forward and serve the Fort Osage Board of Education for another three years.
    “I am honored to be re-elected,” she said of Tuesday’s election results. “I am happy to have the opportunity to serve the district for another term.”
    Incumbents Dankenbring, director of marketing for The Examiner, and Carol Marcks, a retired Fort Osage educator, were elected to the Board of Education. Marcks received 733 votes, and Dankenbring received 616 votes.
    Newcomers John Yocum, a deputy fire chief of the Fort Osage Fire Protection District, received 579 votes, and Joe Keneally, an IT management professional for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, received 311.
    “I look forward to the opportunity to help anyway I can with all of the challenges that lie ahead,” Dankenbring said.
    Marcks did not return telephone calls Tuesday night.
