Autumn Garrett and Dayne Herl have been selected as the Rotary students of the month at William Chrisman High School. Autumn has been active during high school. She participated in the ACE Club, served as the chief editor of the school newspaper, and was the co-editor and copy editor of the school yearbook. She has also excelled academically and qualified for membership in the National Honor Society. Outside school, Autumn has participated in the National Society of Leadership and Success and has served as an intern with the Northeast Kansas City News. Autumn hopes to attend the College of the Ozarks to study English and journalism. Autumn hopes to become a journalist. Autumn is the daughter of Tabitha Gardner and Victor Garrett. Dayne Herl has been active in sports during his time in high school, having played football and basketball during all four years of school. He has received awards for his athletic performance, including being named, on two occasions, an all-conference quarterback. He has also been named all-district and all-area in football and was named all-district, all-area and all-state in basketball. He is currently on the watch list for the DiRenna award, which is given to the top basketball player in the Kansas City metro. Dayne has made the honor roll every semester during his high school career and was awarded the McCoy medal. Dayne has also served as the vice president the Chrisman student council and has been a part of the student council during all four years.
