Evening will begin with an amphibian program to help participants understand the difference between the frogs they are likely to encounter. Then there will be tips on how to harvest frogs from local experts. At about sunset, the class will go out to area lakes to try their luck. After frogs have been caught, the participants will learn to clean the frogs. Pre-registration is required and can be completed by visiting mdc.mo.gov/events and looking for this program. You will need a flashlight or headlight, clothes that can get muddy, and some bug spray. Fishing permits are not required for this program.
