With the MLB draft set to start Sunday and run through next Tuesday, highly touted Crowder College product Jacob Misiorowski has plenty of helium — so much that he could become the highest drafted player in school history — surpassing former ace and Milwaukee Brewers lefty Aaron Ashby who was selected in the fourth round in 2018.
Democrats are asking Gov. Mike Parson to call a special legislative session to clarify that Missouri’s stringent new anti-abortion law doesn’t prohibit other treatments and medication. It’s a reasonable ask, because the new law is so vaguely worded that medical providers are uncertain about the legality of even routine birth control or potentially life-saving procedures during problem pregnancies.
A little Kansas girl who grew up to international fame and recognition in aviation is set to take her place later this month among some of America’s greatest figures. A statue of Amelia Earhart will be dedicated and unveiled on July 27 in the National Statuary Hall Collection, a group of 100 statues (two from each state) placed throughout the U.S.
