Blue Springs student graduates at Nebraska Patrick Orel, a graduate of Blue Springs South High School, graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on May 14 with a bachelor of science degree. Local students honored at SNHU Southern New Hampshire University has named six local students to the winter semester 2022 president’s list.

Wray taking over as acting MCPL director

Susan Wray, the assistant director and chief operating officer for Mid-Continent Public Library, will serve as the library’s acting director after Steve Potter retired this week. Wray will lead the library until the Board of Trustees is able to choose a permanent director to succeed Potter, who retired after 12 years as director and 34 years overall with the library.
