Chester “Chet” Landes of Lake Tapawingo, Mo. passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was born on February 7, 1931, to Milo and Elizabeth Landes in Kansas City, Mo.
 Chet is survived by his wife: Barbara; his son: Mark Landes and his wife Jennifer and his grandchildren Parker Landes, Callahan Landes, Rory Landes, and Molly Landes. He is preceded in death by his parents Milo and Elizabeth Landes.
 Services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with the funeral following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial contributions to be made to the Faith Forward Campaign at First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs.
