This holiday season has been inspirational for former Truman High School teacher Kris Hicks, left, who has undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatment after finding out she has colon cancer. A good friend of the family, Chris Henning, right, and her husband Darryl arranged for a surprise dance performance Dec. 20, in the driveway of the couple’s home in Blue Springs.
