Harry Milton Henderson, Jr

SUGAR CREEK – Passed away December 27, 2021. Harry was born August 31, 1937 in Independence, MO to the late Ruth and Harry M. Henderson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Ilene Miller and Linda Rutledge and a step son James Ragan, Jr.

Harry was a tool and die machinist at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant which led to an engineering career and supervision of the engineering department. Harry was very proud to have supported Israeli war efforts with ammunition development. He was a master craftsman of metal work and could make just about any part. Harry loved restoration of vintage cars, aviation, bird watching, camping, fishing and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Helen, sons Dwight (Andi), Dale (Carol), Darron (Renee); stepchildren Kathy Ragan, Ann (Harold) Scott, Jerry (Deni) Ragan, Edie (Tom) Schmidt, Mary (Joe) Ragan, Carolyn (Calvin) Treffer and Loretta Ragan. A multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Service 10:00 am Tuesday January 4, 2022 Newcomer’s Noland Rd Chapel in Independence, MO. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service. Entombment Mt Olivet Cemetery Raytown, MO. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts Dementia Society of America.
