INDEPENDENCE – Carl F. Wilson of Independence, passed peacefully in the presence of his wife Beverly and their sons on January 23, 2022 of natural causes.
He was born on August 29,1939 to Fred and Opal Wilson in California. He attended William Chrisman High School where he met Beverly Strick.
They married a few years later, and again a few decades later. He was a tool and die maker, business owner, jack-of-all-trades, woodworking and steam engine hobbyist, avid spelunker, nature lover, scout leader, road tripper and clown. He touched many lives, demonstrating what it means to love, be loved, and enjoy the everyday ecstasies of life.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, second wife Linda (Ferguson), and many others. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly, brothers Wilbur and Dale, sons Keith and Kent, daughters in law Lynn and Katherine, and grandchildren Amanda, Brandon, Arielle and Joshua, along with step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many friends.
Services will be held at New Hope RLDS Congregation on February 5th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers please make any desired donations to the Dementia Society of America, or to New Hope RLDS Congregation.
