Michael Thomas Cullen passed away March 24, 2022. He was born on November 22, 1953 to Thomas and Gertrude Cullen in Independence, Missouri.

After graduating from Truman High School he began his career at Southwestern Bell. He later married his wife, Kay Halsey and they had two sons, Matt and Kyle. After more than 30 years of service with the phone company he retired. He enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in being able to do things around the house and in the garage. Helping others was one of his greatest attributes. He enjoyed spending free time at the Lake of the Ozark’s with family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kay, of 37 years. His son, Matt Cullen and his wife Jessica and their daughter Ava. Son, Kyle Cullen and his wife Courtney and their son Dax. Sisters Louise Kendall and her husband Ron and Jeannette Coffman and her husband Darwin. Brother-in-law Randy Halsey, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 24, 2022 from 1-4pm, at The Farmhouse KC Event Venue, 17221 E. 32nd Street, Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Mike’s name to: Kansas City Hospice, 9001 State Line Road, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114
