Bradley Warren Reimal, 85, passed away at home with his girls by his side on March 30, 2022. Brad was born in Kansas City, MO on September 12, 1936 to Jacob Harry and Dorothy Amanda (Bartley) Reimal.
After graduation and the Navy Reserves, he went to work at Sheffield Steel, which became Armco, then GST. He retired in 1997 after 41 years as an electrician and Union Safety Coordinator. He served many years in various elected positions of the United Steelworkers Local 13.
He was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Independence and currently Woods Chapel Church UMC. He was a member of and volunteered for the Kansas City Symphony Alliance.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brad Jr.; and brother, Don Reimal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon Kay (Mitchell) Reimal. They married March 22, 1970 in Lee’s Summit, MO. Thereafter one was rarely seen without the other. Also surviving, are daughters Cheryl Reimal Graves and Tom, Deborah Kay Reimal, and daughter-in-law, Karen Reimal of Clinton; two grandchildren, Dan Reimal of Clinton, Ben Reimal and wife Deanna of Texas; and two great-granddaughters, Harleigh and Cassadee. He is also survived by two brothers; his twin, Hadley; and Roger Reimal and wife Dee, as well as nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or Woods Chapel Church UMC, Lee’s Summit, MO.
A celebration of life memorial service for Brad will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by an informal visitation at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, 4725 NE Lakewood Way, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064.
