Robert “Mike” Duggan

Robert “Mike” Duggan passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mike was born Wednesday, November 26, 1952, in Bethal, Kan. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three nieces, and one nephew.

He is survived by his wife Gina Duggan of the home; six children, Bernard Morgan of Kansas City, Mo., Eric Neely (Sherry) of Joplin, Patrick Neely (Cassie) of Independence, Mo., Laura Warren (Roy) of Carrollton, Mo., Jimmy Neely (Alex) of Blue Springs, Mo., Kellen Neely (Tiffany) of Carrollton; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven brothers; two sisters.

Mike was a wonderful father and a great Papa. He was a master carpenter, who worked hard all his life. He retired twice, first from the Ford Motor Company and second as a City of Lexington Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Mike also worked part time at the Confederate Park in Higginsville and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #364 in Higginsville. He was a member of the Assembly of God church in Higginsville.

Mike loved playing pool, going to auctions and shopping at flea markets. He loved his dogs Dixie and Daniel. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends that loved him so much.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Stewart-Hoefer Funeral Home located at 1600 Main St., Higginsville.

A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the First Assembly of God Church located at 1050 West 19th St., Higginsville.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made out to the church he loved, First Assembly of God.
