Indianapolis – Wilma

Jean Archer Jackson Eskridge, 90, of Greenwood died August 29, 2022. She was born March 25, 1932, in Edwardsport, Ind. to Charles O. and G. Gladys Spoonmore Archer.

Wilma is preceded in death by her beloved husband Victor P. Eskridge, daughter Darla Jackson, sisters Betty (Hosea) Land, Etta (Kenny) Boberg, brother Robert (Wanda) Archer. She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Randy) Bennett, Rebecca Moran, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Stepdaughters Cindy (Ron) Cornelius, Susie (Rick) Larson, stepson Kent (Laurie) Eskridge, step-grandchildren Jill, Claire, Emily, Ellie, Sam, step-great-grandchildren Kassandra, Miranda.

Wilma was a faithful member of The First Presbyterian Church in Independence. She taught Sunday school and was an Elder of the church.

She was a member of the Centerpoint Hospital Auxiliary. Wilma volunteered thousands of hours for the Auxiliary and was Chairman in 2007.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 15, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Edwardsport at 1 p.m. with burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Edwardsport.
