Carolyn K. Roedel, 81, of Independence then Blue Springs, Mo., passed away peacefully on the early morning of November 8, 2022. She was born December 24, 1940, in Independence to Beatrice and Charles Colovin. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Mt Zion Restoration Branch Church at 15008 E 35th St, Independence, MO 64055. A private graveside service will be at a later date per the family’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to St Luke’s Hospice House.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Virgil Roedel; her son Ron Roedel, and grandchild Cody and wife Blair and great-grandchild Eleanor, grandchild Mikhail, and grandchild Harley and husband Kalen; her son Richard Roedel and wife Kristi, and grandchildren Brody and Noah; and her son Ryan Roedel and grandchild Braedyn. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Jim, and her parents.
