David Cook, the winner of the 2008 American Idol crown and a graduate of Blue Springs South High School, visits with 11-yearold Olive Mitchell at Friday’s Big Slick softball game at Kauffman Stadium. Cook has been a part of the many of the Big Slick events in Kansas City. Olive’s grandmother, Kathy Mitchell, lives in Blue Springs.
